Frequently Asked Questions:

1) What am I buying?
You are buying advertising space on the layout map of the convention. Buy buying all the blocks of pixels in a given space (table, booth, etc.), you can then upload your own logo or graphic (see the sizes to your left) that will cover that space on the page. You can also link your graphic to your website.

2) What methods of payment do you accept?
After you pick out your pixels and confirm your order, you will have the option of paying by PayPal or by check or money order. Check and Money Order payments must be received within 2 weeks of placing your order, or your order will be cancelled.

3) What graphic formats can I use?
Graphics are accepted as jpeg, gif (no animation or transparency), or png. Please keep them to 72 dpi.

4) Will my ad appear automatically?
Once you upload your ad and set your link, that's all you have to do. The ads are subject to approval, however, so they won't appear until we sign off on them. If you have any doubts about getting your ad approved, e-mail it to us first at mail@comicbookconventions.com. Ads for vendors paying by check or money order will not appear until payment has been received.

5) How long will my ad be up?
All the ads will be up for the rest of 2006 at the minimum. So long as the site makes enough money to at least pay for itself, the pages will remain up. The plan is to create a convention page for each year...2007, 2008, etc. If you take an ad out on the 2006 page, you will be able to get in on it from the beginning.

6) Can anybody advertise?
Pretty much. We would like to keep it limited to vendors appropriate to a comic book convention. No ads linked to porn sites or anything illegal will be accepted. All ads are subject to our approval before they appear on the page.

6) Can I buy half a table or part of a booth?
No. You must select all the pixel blocks in the given space for a table or booth or your ad will not be accepted.

7) How can I get my banner up at the top of the page?
That's a benefit of being an advertiser. All advertisers, from those with a table to those with sponsor booths, can have their 468x60 banner run in rotation at the top of the Comic Con page. The only catch is that those who purchase bigger booths will have their banners shown more often. Once a table/booth space has been created, e-mail your banner to mail@comicbookconventions.com. Banners can be gifs (animated gifs allowed here) or jpegs and no larger than 30k.
